Give him a good size cup twice a day and make sure you are using a good brand like eukanuba or science diet. If you're still unsure just give your veterinarian a call.

First, Eukanuba, Iams, and science diet are not good foods. Aside from Iams & Euk's cruel animal tests, they are loaded with fillers and low grade meat by products. Instead, try Wysong, Evo, Canidae, Wellness, Blue (Blue Buffalo) or Natural Balance. Be sure it's Natural BALANCE, not the thousands of other sound alike products.
Any food that you buy should have feeding recommendations on it. Start with that and adjust for your dog's needs. Good luck to you.
Edit: Its actually a bad idea just to let them eat however much they want. Many dogs don't have a shut-off mechanism and will over eat. This leads to obesity and the problems associated with that. Of course, this is aside from bloat, a severe danger to larger breed dogs.

I think you should feed 3 to 4 times a day.
I have 3 dogs and what I do is I mix there dry food with a wet canned food and then i add an egg in it<--that helps there fur get shinny.

Get your preferred bag of dog food and read the back of the bag it will tell you for you particular breed of dog and what the weighs how much to feed him. I would go for IAMS or some other brand that will give your dog energy and little waste (who am I kidding big dogs big waste). They wont go as often as they would with like a generic brand.Anything will work but I would go with at least something with alot of fiber and lamb or chicken in it. More healthy for the dog.

That depends on what type of food you are using. All major dog foods have a chart on the bag showing how much to feed based on body weight.
Depending on where you got him, try asking them what they were feeding, when and how much.

That depends on what kind of food you are feeding him. I fed my rottweiler wellness one cup and a half in the morning and one cup and a half in the evening.
Make sure you are feeding a food that has no corn or byproducts in it.
Wellness, Candidae, Nutro, Wysong ect... Read the ingredients and make sure the first ingredient is Meat... Good luck!

Most dog food bags have a suggested amount for a dogs weight, NEVER let him eat more. If he won't eat after 10 mins take his food away. It is important for a dog to be HUNGRY when he eats. It's the best thing for their digestive systems. Don't feel bad about taking his food away, just make sure he has LOTS of water....and don't feed him crappy food!
