My hair is incredibly thick, even after I have had it layered. I go to a private school where I must wear my hair up during the school day, so it gets extra big from being up for 7 hours. I am using head and shoulders right now for dandruff, it also makes my hair very soft. It is not that my hair is frizzy, it is just big. Also, when my hair is wet it dries curly, but when I try to curl it, it won't hold.

use some styling gel on your hair when it's wet and just let it dry curly. It wont get big that way. I do it all the time.

You should not be using Head & Shouldlers, it is harsh and contributes to the uncontrollabiltiy. Dandruff is caused by not rinsing the shampoo out of your hair and dry scalp. You need a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. There are a lot of good ones on the market. Be sure to rinse out the shampoo completely. If this seems difficult maybe you are using too much. You may have trouble with product buildup, so every 8th - 10th shampoo, use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the buildup. Also, get an ionic dryer, they make your hair smoother

Get your hair straighened with a ceramic flat iron. It makes thick curly big hair look thin and straight.

I personally don't have this problem. But my sister does. She constantly complains about it. Like you, she had her hair layered and got longish bangs. Other than that, sut it short. So that you don't have to wear it up.

Try to perm it and it will make it a little thiner and shiner and pretty since you already have the layers.
