Columbus Circle sits on 8th ave. You would walk east from 8th ave/Columbus Circle on either 60th or 59th St. (60th is nice, it's right along the bottom of the Park, also known as "Central Park South"). You would walk past 7th and 6th Avenues. The whole walk would take 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how fast or slow you want to walk.

Columbus Circle is at 59th Street on the west side of Manhattan. 5th Ave runs up the center of the island on the east side of Central Park. If you walk it will take about 5 minutes.
