If you're talking about dogs.... NOT true. When I am away from home my dogs are always waiting for my return. If I happen to go on a short trip over night ,my male dog (nor my husband) gets any sleep because every time the dog hears a car ,down the stairs he goes to the front door. Over and over again all night long. Poor dog.....poor hubby. lol

No, definately not true. Of course it depends on what it is that your are talking about and how much you cared for it/them..
