I have Microsoft office and photoshop which are installed on my Win XP. Would these work on the new OS?

Yes for the most part your programs from XP will work with Vista. Many of the antivirus and antispyware programs will probably need to either be upgraded or you will need to purchase the vista compatible version.

It depends on the version. I know that Office 2003 works as well as Office 2007. You should contact Adobe to find out what versions will work with Vista.

Yes, office and photoshop would, but not any security software.
