My son is 11 years old and I am starting to think he is gay. He is always clinging on his uncle wanting to sit on his lap and to hold him and pick him up. He is also very emotional and cries almost every day for stupid reasons. He has a lot of friends that are girls but never talks about going out with them outside of school. We do not have a great relationship but I love him very much and am worried about this. Any info is greatly appreciated.

His uncle is 20 years old and is currently going to a police academy to become a cop. He helps out my family alot and I know him and he is 100% straight. My son also does this to other older males he is close with but mostly him because he is around alot.

i don't know that he is gay, but he may be trying ot let you know that he wants to improve his relationship with you...clinging ot uncle, being emotional, girls are good listeners and great to go to for support...love him very much and like him as much..your relationship with him is more important then worrying about his sexuality at age 11 anyway.

Gosh, why not simply enjoy and nuture a son that is so loving. Happiness is most important. Enjoy the next 7 years seeking out the gifts that your son has and perhaps viewing his relationships in this way you could share your observations of what areas of success you see your son venturing towards once HS is done.
Your son was a gift not a possession ~ cherish the time you have as you are the chosen one to make an impact and some direction for his future.

That is weird for a 11 year old boy to do. I don't really think he is gay but something is suspicious between the two. I would talk really seriously to your son because he maybe being molested as bad as that sounds i hope to god not but why would he be clinging to him he is 11 and boys are usually not like that at that age unless he is affectionate. Is he like that with anyone else in the family? Good luck it doesn't sound good.

you said he is 11. well he is about to go through puberty and it seems too early to tell. i personally wouldnt be worried right now. and if he did turn out to be gay there is nothing u have done wrong as a mother or nothing u can do to change what he feels comfortable being. just sit back and watch him grow as a person and support him all the way.

I would like to state that although it's possible (I'd say... 33.333% chance- meaning he is either gay, striaght, or bi) the things you have mentioned are not good indicators in any direction...
Studies have shown, however, that if he spends time around girls (at a young age) he will be more likely to be sensitive, which would explain the crying (however, it doesn't directly indicate homosexuality)

good reversal of ways maximum mothers might react in the event that they found out their son became gay. you could no longer make somebody turn promptly or gay. A gay guy might purely approximately by no ability locate promptly intercourse enjoyable, yet maximum promptly adult men, if given the possibility, might savour gay intercourse. yet of direction a promptly guy, if attractive sufficient, might savour a knothole in a tree, yet that would not make him a Birch.

It looks like your son had no father growing up. A boy needs to bond with his father between the ages of three and seven years old. If this doesn't happen then the boy grows up to be gay.

I wouldn't worry about it, I would wait a couple of years and if he hasn't changed then I would worry. But right now,he is young so it is hard to tell.
