Okay, the undies aren't flashy. They're just plain briefs. But it doesn't seem right to me for my hubby to walk around in them in front of our daughter who is 8, and our son who is 12. He just started doing it this year. I don't know why. But his mother is also not shy about her body. She'll change clothes in front of my daughter. Strange family I married into... Should I be mad or just let it go?

FIRST BUY HIM A ROBE!!! And then try to figure out why he is suddenly doing this out of the blue. Your kids are to old to be exposed to this. Tell him that it makes you AND the kids uncomfortable. What if one of your childs friends were to spend the night and he did this? I guarentee you would be getting a phone call from some VERY angry parents! This is definately innappropriate and needs to be fixed A.S.A.P.

OK you mother in law changing her clothes in front of your 12 year old daughter is not really a big thing but your husband walking around in his draws in front of the children IS a big thing, a big WRONG thing. He is doing damage to his children. the underware is not enough for modesty's sake and he can be causing damage to his son's self esteem by making comparisons between his young just forming body and that of your husband. He is also offering subtle but sexual signals to your daughter. IF he just started doing this I would be concerned about child abuse or even molestation. This is a sign of someone who would molest his own children. The near nakedness is too provocotive to be healthy. Grow a backbone and put a stop to this behavior before you children pay the price. You dont' believe this could happen? Not your husband? That is exactly what many many mothers thought until they learned the awful truth of what has been happening to their children. It might not have happened yet but his behavior is a Big Red Flag of Warning, Trouble Ahead. Protect your children .

Don't worry. Here in Europe (I have lived in the US for a while, though) that is not at all uncommon within the family, including grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, etc. (it depends on the family on how far this will go). Actually, it is not even uncommon for family members to more or less regularly be naked in front of other family members (for example after showering, in the sauna, etc., but not just for the sake of being naked).

Maybe you should take a little more relaxed stance on those matters - they are your family!

I understand how you feel,You have to teach your kids to have respect for themselves and if dad isn't covering up then they might start to think that it is OK to run around like that in front of other people.I think it's OK if you see some one of the same sex in their underwear.I never saw my dad in his underwear it would have made me very uncomfortable if I had,and it may make your kids feel the same way.I hope it all works out.

I would definitley sit down and have a talk with ur husband. I think that ur daughter is getting older and she is starting to know about the birds and the bees. That is not normal.

buy him a robe just say you would rather he had his clothes on in the house when he is around the children . Its not that crazy of a thing to ask . modesty is something that seems to be forgotten in this world its a good thing for children to be taught that its not good to not be covered up .

It's a little weird, but not super strange. My dad used to do the same thing. I think it's ok if certain parts are appropriately covered. If anything, speak to your husband and ask what his thoughts are behind that..most likely he is just comfortable with his appearance, if the kids are ok with it; it's not that bad

I don't like that , those kids are too old . I would tell them both how I feel .
I had to tell my husband not to do that in front of the grandchildren , he got mad but I won .
