Seems that the large influx of immigrants that live in sanctuary cities seem to do rather well and contribute to those local economies/societies. What can Southwestern states/localities learn from places that seem to have implemented effective social policy?

That's a great question.....I live in a sanctuary city, on the border.....We have many day workers who are illegal and come for the day to work and then go back home and they bother no one.....They are never really asked for status.....Some of course live here.....We rarely have crimes committed by illegals, all crime is committed by citizens.....Illegals, for the most part come only to work and do there best to stay out of trouble or the limelight, they would not dare protest, because no one here really minds them living here......And there is nothing to protest....This has been my experience, and I can only speak from my experience.....

As the U.S Population grows, so does are concern for illegal immigration. After 9-11 our concerns for Border security has been poor. I have no problem with sanctuary cities but as long as any immigrants go through the legal process, every U.S citizen must have Identification, so why let illegal immigrants be allowed not to have any. We have enough problems in the U.S and to allow undocumented workers to live under sanctuary is a slap to every hard working U.S citizen. I only applaud those who come to better their lives and go through the legal process. Yes and I understand that The U.S has it's own problems with Americana's not working and abusing the welfare system. So lets send them to Mexico and give us those honest hard working Mexicans who want to be apart of American society here.

Those Cities Will Get What's Comin To Them
THEN We'll SEE The Divisions Of Loyalty

Cities Like Maywood, CA
And Other Self Proclaimed "Sanctuaries"

When The ILLEGAL ALIENS Flock To Them By The Millions
(A Reaction To Ordinances In Hazleton PA
And Farmers Branch TX, For Instance)

And THEY (Sanctuaries) Find Themselves
Incredibly Overwhelmed By The Massive Numbers
Of Out Of Work ILLEGAL ALIENS

With No Funds To Support Them
Not Enough Housing To Shelter Them
Not Enough Jobs To Employ Them
And Not Enough Resources To Sustain Them

The city of Maywood -
a 1.2-square-mile town
eight miles south of Los Angeles
with a population of just over 28,000
96 Percent Hispanic
More Than 60 Percent ILLEGAL ALIENS

is a pocket for illegal immigrants,
lauded by immigrant advocates
and decried by detractors.

I Wonder How A 1.2-square-mile town
with a population of just over 28,000
Would React To A Swarm Of
50,000 Or 100,000 People Seeking Refuge
From US Immigration Laws

As More And More Cities, Counties And States
Begin To Add Legislature And Local Ordinances
Refusing Housing And Employment To ILLEGAL ALIENS
Those ILLEGAL ALIENS Will MIGRATE
To Known Safe Havens

What Do You Think Will Happen ?

No, I would say the other way around. The sanctuary cities should watch and learn from cities and states that are doing something about the illegal law breaking immigrants.

FBI archives: better than 40 3% of all foodstuff stamps issued are to unlawful extraterrestrial beings better than 40-one% of all unemployment assessments are issued to unlawful extraterrestrial beings fifty 8% of all welfare funds are issued to unlawful extraterrestrial beings almost 60% of all occupants of HUD houses are unlawful extraterrestrial beings i imagine it must be better than the sanctuary cities! you'll hear the pro-unlawful immigration human beings declaring that illegals pay taxes. that's authentic yet for each $a million.00 paid in taxes they use $17,000 in amenities. an impressive go back on funding for them (you get screwed)! they are going to also say that they could't carry mutually those amenities because it really is prohibited! So i wager the unlawful alien in PA wasn't murdered because he wasn't right here via the indisputable fact which will be unlawful!

well I think that we should let them continue to accept all of the illegals there. Give it 2 years and THEN check to see how great they are doing.
