Yes. I completely agree. Unfortunately, just because the scum above me thinks "that's life" people will never change their one-sided, blind-eyed way of viewing the world. Culture and diversity is a BEAUTIFUL thing that should be embraced and learned from.

No one I know would characterize illegals as "scum" or "low life's" Those are your words and they are just not correct. Scum refers to a kind of human being whose presence on the earth has no meaning, no reason and no reason to go on living. It crosses race, creed, color and religious barriars as well as economic barriers. Low life's are the same. These are people who bottom feed on any human victim they can find. No class. No reason to get up in the morning.
Illegal immigration is not to be judged. It is illegal and about 20,000,000 acts against our federal law have been committed. America is not America any more. It is changed for the worse. Culturally we cannot allow what we have allowed. It is not about the people, it is the sheer numbers. And of the millions at least half are at the start or in the middle of child bearing age. In 10 - 15 years there will be 30 - 35 million. In twenty years there will be 45 million. In thirty years...... You do get the point, don't you? China has to limit each couple to two children about 30 years ago to keep the populace from starving. Yet in America a woman can have a dozen or more children and a man can bed hop and make 50, 60, 70+ children. Do you know that they can do that? Does any woman or man who procreates like that care about anyone else? No. Do you not see that YOU are also anti-illegal because as a citizen you MUST be. So stop using a word like "judging." Of course one can judge the actions of another. We are supposed to judge the criminal behavior of others. That is what you do on a jury and in your daily life as you read a newspaper and see what scum and low life's really are. So you see, it is YOU who "knows nothing." Most of us who read, write and listen KNOW. Next time ask an intelligent, informed question, please.

Last July Fourth,
Mexico's EWE news service published an interview
With the celebrated Mexican novelist Elena Poniatowska
in which she noted:
"Mexico is at this moment
recovering territories it lost in the past to the United States
thanks to emigration.
The common people --
The poor, the uneducated, the dirty, the lice ridden, the roaches
are advancing on the United States,
a country that needs to speak Spanish
because it has 33.5 million Hispanics
who are imposing their culture,"
observed Poniatowska.
"Mexico is recovering the territories
yielded to the United States by means of migratory tactics."
I Did NOT Compose That Paragraph
celebrated Mexican novelist Elena Poniatowska Did
The common people --
The poor, the uneducated, the dirty, the lice ridden, the roaches
are advancing on the United States,
These Are Not The Words Of Americans
judging people we know nothing about
These Are The Sentiments Of Mexicos Own People
Toward Mexican Citizens
I Didn't Say It
But
I Agree With Her Statement
Who is really ignorant?

Oh, yeah, the lowest common denominator among us have been soooo easy to manipulate into heightened racism and displays of ignorance related to this issue. Some people in even a minor crisis are so stupid and fearful that they cannot cope with the facts in a psychologically balanced way and instead lash out at something or someone weaker than themselves. NAFTA and outsourcing are the real threats, not Mexicans. It's pathetic in one way, that these kinds of people live in such ignorance and fear and confusion and kneejerk responses. It's revoltingly un-American in other ways, though, for the racist behaviors and for the lack of rational comprehension of the bigger story behind the real danger to the working class on both sides of the border and to this democracy. American employers and businesses are being allowed to invite and criminally hire undocumented foreign nationals. And they withhold Social Security and taxes from their paychecks and keep the money for themselves. Bush was over in Viet Nam this week arrangeing to give even more jobs away to people in that nation. It's about jobs, not the color of a man's skin or what side of a river he comes from. We are all the working class and we are being sold down the river by big business with agendas that fully intend for all of us in the Americas to become the new cheap, uneducated outsourced labor of the near future. We need to unite with Mexican workers and be a force to be considered in these negotiations rather than so stupidly fall for the ploy of racism that keeps our attention off the real issues and real dangers to our middle class way of life.

Look lady, if they're legal, bring em' on. It's O.K. The government preaches to us everyday how the terrorist are gonna get us. Yet they insist on leaving the borders and the ports wide open. Do you honestly think that there's nothing wrong with this picture? Sounds like a lot of double speak from my perspective. Why are there Americans in prison today? Because they did something illegal. Right? Should we let them all go, because we where being judgmental?

Yes, some resort to name calling and other childish ploys trying to get their point across, but, no matter how you say it, the illegal aliens(no such thing as an illegal immigrant) are breaking the law. They need to be arrested and sent back, we need to secure our borders like most other countries of this world. If this trend of people getting madder and madder over the illegal alien problem continues, I can see bloodshed in the near future. If the government doesn't get a handle on this and very soon, we are going to see the pissed off citizens of this country take up arms and start defending it ourselves. The illegals that are already here had better be making plans on trying to cross back to return to their country of origin whether it be Mexico or any other country, elsewise, they may get caught up in this defense.
I see, if someone does not agree with your viewpoint, you give them a thumbsdown. Sad.

We are ignorant, Just Me. I mean, we ARE the ones letting those Mexicans cross the border with full bedroom sets and linens, while at the New York Immigration Offices they'll stop you if you have so much as a pimple out of place in your passport picture.

What does ignorance have to do with wanting to secure our country. There is no way to know everything about every one of the illegal immigrants, and that is exactly one of the reasons why we need to fix the problem. We know NOTHING about them and what their past crimes or histories could have been.

We are judging illegals who have INVADED our country! We are not judging someone halfway around the world. If they are on our soil we have a right to judge them, they are on our land!

Well spoken. I think its a sad day when Americans are so judgmental toward immigrants. I think we forget sometimes that we are a nation that has prospered from ethnic diversity. Take care.
