I'm pretty sure he would qualify as "non-religious." He doesn't seem to be an atheist, although he certainly isn't going to church every Sunday, either. There's a very simple word to describe people like Mathers and other people I know who aren't particularly religious nor atheistic: apathy. They just don't seem to care. Then again, who am I to judge his soul - everyone contemplates their spirituality, no matter how rich or famous they are. Maybe he'll one day see the light.
