peanut? it's actually kind of cute. i see your confusion, though. it's hard to tell if he just sees you as a friend or something more. if he's not giving you anything else to go on, you might just have to ask him about it. good luck!

Accept it as a compliment.
He's showing interest.
Then get to know him better to find out if the "Peanut" thing was as dorky as it sounded.
He might be a great guy who says peanut too often.

Ok, if you insist. My thinking: If he's older than you, he calls you "peanut" as a harmless nickname....AS HE WOULD HIS KID SISTER. He's not attracted to you as a relationship partner. So, dont do anything.
