ok my mom is a doctor and she is very busy. she sees sometimes 10-20 patients a day. tomorrow i have an appointment with a hand surgeon as a post op office visit. (i had an electrical accident and so i had to go to a hand surgeon) anyway, we have known about this appointment for 3 weeks now and today she asked me if i wanted to post pone my appointmen tbecause she has alot of patients to see tomorrow. but yet i have an appointment and she has cancled patients appointments before. also i had already planned to miss school bc i got all my make up work turned in already. should i feel sympathy and wait or just go? what would u tell her?

If I were the mother here I would understand that it is probably very important to be sure you hand has healed properly (especially since she IS a doctor herself) and I'd cancel appointments to take my child...but I'm that type of person, my child would be my priority.

I would tell her one more time how important it is to me to go , and have her with me and see what happens . I can see a Mom not dropping everything for their child . I would .

I know this is important that you see your surgeon but you need to understand your Mom. She cares about you thats why she wanted to be with you when you visit your sugeon. You just need to understand that sometimes our parents do things that are againts our will but to sum it all up, what they are doing is for us.

=) dont feel bad.. dont worry.. your mom loves you

justgo to your appointment, doctors time as you know is very valuable, and should not be wasted with last minute cancelations
