My boyfriend always says things like "you WILL walk your dog today" and "you have a responsibility to your dog", and "don't use that tone with me, now i want you to think about what you've done and call me when you're in a better mood"..... is it just me???? or is this very condescending????? he doesnt seem to understand why these things make me feel like a five year old, then gets totally pissed when i respond with something smart a$$ like "yes sir!". how do i get him to understand???

well you will dump him,, and you will learn some self respect,, and don't ask these questions until you have done so..

sounds like he may have some control issues, think about it , if he is this bad now what will he be like on down the road? If you tend to be a little " submissive" he will continue to run over you untill he runs your whole life. stand up for yourself and if he cant respect you for that then find someone who will.

Do you still have feelings for him, despite this? If you do, talk to him about it and try to work it out. But if you don't, and you feel uncomfortable about it, you don't have to keep up the relationship. Find another guy.

do it back, then ask him if he appreciates it, or just tell him straight up that the way he says that makes it feel like he is your dad.
