Spirits or hard liquor come in various sizes.

750ml or a fifth is the smallest of public shelf sizes
1 liter is the most common size for bars and restaurants
1.75 liter is considered the handle

Then you have small sizes behind the counter in most cases ranging in size.

50ml is the nip
175ml
200ml considered the 1/2 pint
375ml is the pint

The amount in the handle is part of the 750 mL. It doesn't matter because when you pour out the liquid, it pours out of the handle too.
