Have you been to a neurologist? This could be nerve related. My ex has this and in her case it is caused by "stenosis of the feramen". Simply put; The nerves along the spinal column are each encased in a sheath. And sometimes the sheath contracts around the nerve causing this chronic pain you describe. In her case this stenosis was in the neck portion of the spine and the pain was as you describe. Are the muscles in your shoulder area always 'hard' or in spasm? If so you will want to have this checked out. My ex was in her early thirties when this condition manifested itself. It usually occurs in much older people. Check also into "neurofibromyalgia" soft tissue/muscle pain. Good luck.

First of all, how long has this been going on? I tried to sling a heavy bag over my shoulder, and experienced the same thing. I had to go to my doctor, and he gave me some Flexiril to loosen my muscles. Have you done any physical activities lately? It could also be from bad posture, but that's not likely. Have someone feel that area for stiffness.

I'd try tylenol or ibuprofin for the pain, and some Icy Hot or a heat pack. If that doesn't ease the pain after a few days, go see a doctor!

I have the same thing. I do a lot of heavy lifting at work (up to 50 pounds) plus I'm short which doesn't help help matters. I see a medical massage therapist. This is a little different than relaxation massage. I suggest trying that or a chiroprcator. You may be carrying your stress in that area and the kinks just need to be worked out. Best wishes!

The first thing you need to do is see the doc for a diganosis. The pain you describe could be caused by any number of things but no one here can begin to take a guess without examining you and running some tests. See the doc and get this diagnosed.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about someone in pain daily also. I also have a lot of back pain, result of diving injury in high school, and Im still young (Im only 24). Because I am so young, the doctors wont prescribe me daily pain killers, so I buy pain killers off the internet. They have made a huge difference in my day to day life. I order tramadol off of ordertramadolonline.com. I usually get it delivered the day after I order it. You might want to give it a shot.

OMG... I had this for about 9 months and it was just excruciating. my doctors said that it was pulled muscles but i really had chronic pancreatitis and i had gallbladder disease with over 90 stones in my gallbladder. i had to have surgery and i was in the hospital for one week to lower my pancreatic enzymes and then went back to have surgery i think you should probably go to your doctor immediately and get blood work done on your pancreas and then your doctor will tell you what to do from there and also try to see if you could get an ultrasound done to see if you have any gallstones
email me any time to talk i know exactly what your going through

no go see an orthopedic or internist FIRST, not the chiropractor. only see a chiropractor as a last result. it may help to get a steriod injection in the pain area. if they give you drugs, you dont have to actually fill it, just take the prescription and toss it. use a heat pad, ice pack and some ibprofen may help. also any heat therapy cream helps. and hot showers. these help me temporary.

Try sleep without a pillow when on your back or stomach. A small pillow in the curve of your neck while on your side. These may or may not help but it doesnt cost anything so you might give it a try.

Are you top heavy? I needed to have a reduction done to ease my symptoms. Try accupuncture to detress the muscles and ultrasound treatments done at phyiotherapists office. Most insurances cover it.
