What if, as some Cosmologists and Mathmaticians postulate, there is a fourth pyhsical dimension that we as three dimensional creatures cant percieve.
A four dimensional cube is called a tesseract and would look like a normal cube to us but would cast an unusual shadow and be percieved that way.
Four dimensional creatures would, to us, be able to appear and dematerialize at will pop in and out of locked rooms and behave like ghosts and other paranormal phenomona.

Could the process of meditation, ritual prayers etc be a way of tuning in to this fourth pyhsical dimension?
Wacky I know and I'm not to sure of the math and science but could this be a rationalised interpretation of the spiritual experience?

I don't think your so wacky. I mean I don't know it that's what's happening or not. But I do think that miracles and the unexplained are completely scientifically explainable to those who are actually making them happen.

Think about it. 200 years ago the thought of man flying seemed a like a miracle to most folks. Now that we've figured it out it seems normal. So I think what we see as a miracle from a higher power is probably perfectly explainable and normal to that higher power.

No harm is wondering about it...but I am a bit confused, I thought we described the 4th dimension as time - am I wrong there?

interesting theory, i have actually delved into this somewhat myself. there are actually the dimensions of time and space, or the way i interpret it a fourth and fifth dimension. a lot of quantum physicists think that if we could ever achieve the ability to obtain these dimensions physically we could master invisibility, teleportation and time travel. there are actually advanced mathematical equations representing a physical ability to wrinkle time, of course the technology does not exist, yet. many scientists have contemplated using frequency generators and huge electromagnets. it is out there but it is extremely interesting. look up einstien's unified field theory, he developed a theory that if we could bring all these dimensions onto a relative plane, that we would be able to achieve impossible feats such as invisibility. also look up the philidelphia project, stipulation is that it is an urban legend, but, it is also really cool food for thought.

Well, *most* Wiccans believe in a spiritual plane that exists at the same time as this one that the normal living person can't see, though some are sensitive to it. Math and science have also proved that the elements we use - rocks, trees, etc. - in ritual have very powerful energies, so I'm not at all surprised that they've further postulated that our "spiritual plane" may actually exist as well.

Blessed be!

There definitely is a spiritual realm that we cannot see or perceive with our senses. It is very real, very close to us, but hidden from our sight. Many stories in the bible talk of it. Many modern day people have had supernatural encounters angels, demons, had "open visions" of heaven, etc.

But I hope you do not feel compelled to pursue it through math or science because God is much much greater and deeper than any math or science....and, remember, He warns us against delving into spiritual things apart from a devotion and love for Him and Him alone. Demons are very real and are a very real threat to those who tread foolishly into metaphysical matters.

God bless,

the fourth deminsion has actually been calculated by einstein, and it is based on the law that everthing in our universe is ALWAYS in a state of constant change.
humans document the fourth demension every time we look at our watches.
Time is relative, and is a function of space.
as space (the third dimension) changes, time passes.
look up relativity.
the fifth deminsion is probability factors, i do not understand this one really look it up if you want to learn more.
einstein postulates i think up to 12 dimensions.
the spiritual demension is beyond the world of physics.

It could be. I've also heard theories that when people see ghosts they are actually seeing time-travelers.

I'm sure there is. It's called the spiritual realm. We can't see it. About the other things you said....that I have no idea about.
