yay!! how fun. tennis balls are a must, and frisbees, and just running around. also hiking is always fun because they get to sniff around and experience new places. labs are also water dogs, so lakes and the beach will always be fun for it. if you can find a dog park near you, being around other dogs and getting excersize at the same time is a plus

best of luck to you and your new best friend!!

Any activity involving running. They will play catch, frisbee and love to work...retrieving things. They are easily trainable.

Never allow a dog this size to run within one hour after eating. They can get bloat which is a condition where the stomach flips over on itself. If that would happen, the only way to save the dog is surgery. A dog can die from bloat within hours if you don't watch them for swelling, pain and tenderness in the stomach area. Play safe...just never let the dog run around after eating for at least an hour.

Labs are outdoor dogs to begin with. Hey were bred for hunting and retreiving. They love fetch, swimming and scent games.

They do all kinds of things outdoors. My sisters lab likes to bring home deer skins and such. Their lab likes to be outside more than inside.

Labs like to swim. They love the water and will jump in any pool, lake, river, puddle etc. that they can find. You may be able to train them to catch a ball as well but really, they love water.

Really depends on the individual dog. Many will like to catch frisbee's, play fetch, and go swimming in the local pond or bayous.

Where to begin! Play frisbee, play ball, hang out with you, do agility, do obedience (keep it fun), go for a swim, play in the mud, eat mud, hang out with other dogs. Labs seem to like everything, don't they?

You just got one of the best dogs ever. They are gentle loyal and will give you many years of loyal friendship. In return they ask to be treated kindly, fed properly and they love to run, swim, fetch, play with balls, Frisbees and just be with you.

Mine likes to run, we play fetch, tag, tug of war, keep away, and can't catch me. We don't have a pool, but I imagine in the summer he wouldn't mind swimming.

If you are outside with them and you though a ball with them they will bring it back to you if you taught it how to fetch and they like to go for walks.
