husky huh? wow that suprising usually they are only real agressive towards cats or real small dogs. wow... anyway if you have another dog or dogs that he is aressive toward let them meet, but keep him on a leash, maybe with a choke chain. whenever he starts fixating on the other dog(s) pull the leash and snap him out of it. you have to keep a close watch on him. you will see him just stare at the dog even for a second or two and his ears wil go up like he heard something. correct him with the leash and collar and tell him no or some kind of sound. this will take a while after he just kind of ignores the other dog(s) take him off the leash and let him walk around freely. but still keep a close watch on him and if he fixates on the dog(s) still. poke at him (not to hard but enough to get his attention) do this until he just interacts with other dogs like a he does with an everyday object or a person. if he ever gets to the point where he actually goes for another dog or animal or gets it make him lay down on his side imediatly very quickly and pin him by the neck (not "lay down dog" and push im toward the floor, almost tackle him and pin him down) do this every time he gets too out of control. to get a better effect pin him down and have other dogs and animals you dont want him to dominate hoover over him, so he almost feels small and unimportant. like i said keep watch and do this until he act normal all the time.

Husky's have a very high prey drive. This may be why your dog killed a goat.
I take it the dog is currently at the pound?
Call around to the dog training places in your area. Tell them the situation. Ask each of them what results they get with aggressive dogs. Your best line of defense at this point is to get this dog some training. On that note, however, huskies are notoriously difficult to train. That does not mean that they are untrainable! They are trainable, but you have to be willing to work constantly with the dog...and even more so now that the dog has displayed some aggression.

Sweetie, I am so sorry, but it does sound like your dog has some aggressive problems. If he has killed a defenseless goat and tried to kill another dog, he is too territorial. What if he killed some old lady's cat that she'd had for 16 years? That would be awful. I know you'll feel really bad if he keeps killing other animals and other people's pets so maybe he needs to go to a new home in the country where he can controlled better.
Maybe they would let you go visit him and see that he's all right. If he kills another animal, the law says he could wind up being destroyed, and I'm sure you don't want that. It's better to let him go to someone else than for that to happen.
I'm really sorry. I don't know where you got the dog, but if it was a backyard breeder, your mom now knows better.
Good luck to you. Please do the right thing for the dog, and the other pets in your neighborhood.

The fact that your husky has be loose and unsupervised long enough to kill a goat & attempt to kill a dog...
Your husky needs some SEVERE socialization with other animals. Maybe a new home is what he needs.
''Really'' caring for a dog, emotionally, doesn't add up to much, when the dog is behaving badly, or in this case, aggressively.
Your dog needs someone who has the time, patience, and skill, to train him correctly, for then he isn't a danger to anyone or anything.

You do not need a dog who is killing other animals. Did you have to pay for the goat and dog? Did the people tell your mother to either get rid of the dog or get sued?
I had a attack dog, this was not my attentions to have him (farmer wanted him gone and he was a good dog, to us). Since I did have him I had to pay for special licensing, special collar, tags. He was expensive! Not for someone who can not afford, nor for someone who was not willing to talk to the cops now and then. They will check up on these dogs...I would say around $1000 to own him. He was considered a potentially deadly weapon.
Why on earth do you want a dog like this?
He will find someone who will be able to take care of a dog like this....

It is a really bad idea to make your dog aggressive, he will be a danger to himself and others. You could end up in big trouble if he hurts someone. Someone could sue you or you could even be arrested. He is a very young dog still and that could be why he is scared of aggressive dogs. As he gets older, he will probably gain more confidence. Most of my dogs were scared of other dogs as puppies but by 1 year old, they were more confident and were not afraid to defend themselves.

You should not take an aggressive dog to the pound. You're basically forcing an unknowing new owner to deal with this aggressive behavior!
Read this site http://www.leerburg.com/dog-agg.htm and learn what you can do to change your behavior and correct the dog.
Frankly, if you cannot rehabilitate the animal yourself, you should pay to have the animal put down. This aggression should not be passed onto another owner.

Hmmm, sounds like the husky is too aggressive - I have to say it, but it is best that the dog goes to someone who can manage him. Maybe you and your mom can put an Ad. in the paper for him, but you have to mention his aggression issues.

What's next? I have 357 reasons why your dog should never attempt to attack and kill another domestic animal. He needs to be destroyed.
Sorry, no help here.

Was your dog socialized a a puppy? Does he get exercise and discipline on a daily basis? Are you showing him that you are his leader?
A lot of questions need to be answered here before something can really be advised...
