To explain quickly : All european language come from Indo-European, expect basque, hongrois and suomi (finland)

More closer in history, french come from latin, occitan, celtic, ...

French developed out of Latin, influenced by the Frankish that was spoken there before, if that's what you mean. Otherwise, yeah, Hebrew, Greek, Basque, Egyptian...
