Yes, please do. =)

Consider this- the Men's room has both Urinals and toilets. If the intent of the rest room was merely for 'number one' the urinals would suffice (save possibly one bowl for the handicapped)

I also find it embarassing! I knew I wasn't the only one. This was always a hot debate at the funnest office job I've ever had. We reasoned that is what it's there for - to use as you would your home potty. However, there are more people there...so it's almost like you are not annon. I always wondered if someone would recogonize my shoes.

One of my co-workers was in there and a lady said, "Hey, can you leave I'm going to go #2". ROFL!

You could always do a shout out ;-) To clear the room of course. Once you do it a few times you'll slowly loose your fear. I usually cordinate the toilet flushing with using the potty. That way no one knows what your doing and there isn't a chance for a bad stink. Or, blow your nose. Create a distraction. Otherwise, the room will eventually clear out and you can be alone.

Well that all depends on where it is. I go to the bathroom to wash my hands before I eat in a restaurant and always without fail someone is in there passing their meal. So my appetite is less coming out then when I went in. If ya gotta go I guess it's better to relieve then not to, but most people don't want to deal with that sorta thing( stench and gross sounds) when they're out shopping or dining. Going #1 is more the norm in public, the #2 thing is better left for home.

If it weren't I'd be in big trouble. I drive a truck and most of the restrooms I use are public. If you are embarrassed and can hold it til you get home go for it. But I don't see what the big deal is. If you are worried about smell...light a match after or even during.

I tend to try not to use public restrooms unless absolutely necessary.
As for doing 'number 2' - if I really had to I would

Only after checking a few things: How close are people to the door? Are you in the right one? Don't use a stall that is already occupied. Try not to giggle. And if anyone comments on the smell, blame in on your Mother.

Of course you can, that is what they are there for.

Personally, I can't. But I have deep seated emotional issues that will not allow my body to do anything like that in public. It really sucks when I travel.

I'm with you-it is embarrassing. But if you have you, that is what the bathroom is there for. I got this stuff from drugstore.com called Just a Drop. It eliminates all odors-it's lifesaver!

Would you rather hold it in, making shopping or whatever else a desperate experience?
Your mom's right. That's what the loo is for!
