I went through this when I was 9. Me and my mom have always been tight but I said, "Mom hey you have to promise not to be mad but at least I am telling you. I got my first boyfriend and I am so happy and I would really like your support!!" My mom was happy for me and supported me in every decision and I wish you the best. Your mom should be happy for you if you are happy with yourself. Good luck I hope you get the Guy.

ok, im 12 too. I had my first boyfriend when i was 11 in 5th grade, but i knew i was wayyyy to young to tell my mom i had a boyfriend, so i never told her. Im not a person who is very close to here mom. So when your planing to tell your mom that you have a boyfriend ask her first "mom, at what age do yoo think i can have a boyfreind?" if she says an older age thatn what you are now then you have to make a decison... have a boyfrreind ans not tell your mom or no boyfriend at all.... i hope i helped bye! :)

Morgan, when I was 12 (in like 1996) NOBODY I knew had boyfriends or girlfriends......only crushes. Why don't you just focus on being known as FRIENDS and nothing more? Your mom will probably freak out if you call him your BF. BUT, I bet you won't even have to tell her, she will know when she realizes you are on the phone more and what not.

If you and your mom have a good understanding then just tell her that a guy likes you and you like him. And that you know for a fact that he is going to ask you out and ask your mom what you should do if you dont have a good understanding with your mom then just dont tell her keep it on the DL.

Wait until he actually asks you out, then the day he does it and you're excited go straight to your mom. When you tell her, just be lik: Mom, guess who asked me out today, _(insert name here)_ and then go, and guess who said yes!! This is so cool, i havent even told my friends yet!! She'll feel good knowing that you put her in front of your friends, even though you most likely havent. She's more likely to support you having a bf if you make her feel like you wanted to tell her and not that you had to tell her. So, good luck telling her, i hope she is the mom that will take the news well!

Be honest with your mom. U might have to have someone older go with u on the date but it wont be too bad. Just be honest and let your mom know what is going on and good luck. U will be scared but have some fun. Go to the movies or go out to eat. Let your mom know that u can be trusted.

At your age, I'm almost positive your mom won't react too negatively. Sure, she'll ask you what he's like, if she's never met him..

Well, bottom line is, don't be afraid of telling her. It's not something to keep secret, I'm sure she'll be happy for you.

Good luck!
