im 13 and my parents told me i could get one big gift. iv come up with an ipod, an xbox 360, or a nintendo wii. how do they compare and what els would be good thats in that price range

Most computers can do all those features. What you might consider is a universal mobile unit. It will depend on your personal useage. radioshack.com or e-bay.com have comparitive pages. So does consumer reports.

The Wii has fun, innovative controls. Being wireless, they also have much more freedom. You can hold it sideways to use in a racing game or swing it around like a sword if you were to play Zelda. The games are certainly better in terms of style (not graphics!).
Xbox has no games that are specifically licensed to it (unlike Nintendo's Mario and Zelda games) so you won't miss anything if you don't get the Xbox. The iPod is really not that useful unless you need to be with the ''in'' crowd
or if you really, really love music!
The best thing however, would be a Nintendo DS (or DS Lite), which combines the uniqueness of Nintendo (it has an interactive touch screen) with the portability of an iPod
(it's about as big as a checkbook and about twice as thick)

I think you should really go with the Wii or buy a PSP if you don't already have one... The Wii is really fun and the motions when you play the games are really cool. Great Games for the Wii would be ( Rayman, Zelda, Wii Sports (Free with the Wii). I am sure you would have a lot of fun with it. I am 12 and I really enjoy going down to my Aun'ts and playing it.... we play for hours sometimes... The PSP is really good too because you have all that entertainment in one machine... games, movies, music, and photos, plus they are coming out with a camera and gps system with it... some great games for that are, (Sims 2 Pets, Thrillville, Killzone, Prince of Persia, Loco Roco) Those would probably be your best choices I would probably go with the Wii though...
