Single hens often lay eggs and it's usually more traumatic for the owner than the bird. When you first notice an egg has been laid, throw it away. If the egg laying continues, usually every other day, you might want to let her sit on them for two or three weeks to satisfy her maternal instincts.
A tiel that is laying eggs requires additional calcium and protein in their diet. As long as you provide those extra nutrients, she should be just fine but check her daily to insure there are no problems such as egg-binding. If you should suspect a problem, take her to an avian vet ASAP.

I am assuming you have a single female here and are not interested in breeding. I
She doesn't have to go to the vet. What you need to do is keep that egg in there. If you remove them, she will just keep laying them. Cockatiels lay to a certain amount of eggs, and will not stop until they reach it.
Make sure she has plenty of calcium- cuttlebone, and if she doesn't use it, scrape some on her food. It takes a lot of calcium to make an egg. Also broccoli is good for calcium if she eats veggies.
You can pick up some fake eggs as well, if you put them in with her, she may not lay as many.
One thing I also suggest is to rearraign her cage and give her more night time- at least 12 hours, preferably more until she stops laying.
Laying eggs are very dangerous for a cockatiel because if they don't stop, they can actually die. The egg could get stuck in them or they could break bones from too little calcium in their bodies. Don't worry, one or two clutches probably aren't going to do it, but you want it to stop as soon as possible.
Something else that works- any time you see your female "having fun" by making a high pitched constant noise, or rubbing her butt against something- spray her with a cold water bottle. Since I started that, she hasn't laid another egg, thankfully. It sounds mean, but being a little wet is a lot better than continually laying eggs.
A really good chat site just for cockatiels is www.birdsnways2.com and then go to tiel talk. There are people posting all of the time, and a lot of helpful people
Good luck on finding a solution!

She doesn't need to go to the vet. Does she have a mate? If not leave all the eggs in the cage until she doesn't lay anymore and starts sitting on them (if you remove the eggs as she lays them she may lay too many and deplete her calcium), once she hasn't laid anymore for at least 2 days let her sit on them for a few days then remove them.
If she has a mate, get her a nesting box and make sure she has a good bath source.

If she has a mate, then she will be likely to lay more eggs with a constant of an egg per 2 days. She will lay egg until the whole cluth is layed(3-8) eggs. its important to give the bird a cuttle bone and fresh veges and fruits
If the female is alone then just leave the eggs their. If you take them away she will lay more and tahts not good for her health. Leave her alone until she lays all of the eggs and let her abondon them herself. The eggs are infertile so they arent going to hatch.
If you want her to lay eggs, then get her a mate. If you dot then motivavte her not to lay the eggs. This can be done by providing less light ,a bit colder temp( not too cold for it to get sick).

She does not have to go to the vet. Is there a male in the cage?
Just provide her with nesting material like torn up "safe" paper(paper towels or store bought nesting material) and make sure she has a mineral block in the cage with plenty of good food and water. Then just leave her alone.
If there is no male, do not take the egg out. Let her take care of it until she gets bored with it and abandons it.

The egg is rotten particularly than in basic terms unfertilized. it somewhat is why this is gray. the final and healthiest and least complicated thank you to end the laying is to easily decrease the easy ranges. Shorter days. the place I stay, it happens of course interior the fall and wintry climate, yet in some places interior the international, you may desire to manage her easy ranges with the aid of masking the cage or putting it in a dismal room till now at nighttime and longer into the morning. apart from bone depletion, she would be in a position to get a prolapse or substitute into egg-sure. i does not provide her nesting supplies or a nest field and could bypass away the eggs in for 11 days then do away with them. do away with the gray one precise away. If it breaks it is going to scent up the situation.
