Even if you didn't like the person or the relationship didn't end too well, would you feel bad or insulted if you were "replaced" too quickly?

Yes I have felt bad when I was replaced quickly in some relationships, and not bad with others. I think it depends completly on the level of commitment and the level of "relating" that you did in the relationship. When you have been an important member of the family and you are close with his parents and friends, it can be very hurtful to imagine someone taking the place that you occupied for so long.

Anytime there is a mature, committed relationship which ends, it is difficult to be replaced in days, weeks etc, because it implies that the other partner didn't value the relationship like you did.
