as a pagan i love to watch christains and athiest go at it, but i always wonder why is it we even debate each others beliefs? why can't we just get along instead of telling each other how it's wrong to believe or not believe in something? doesn't that make christains and athiests more alike than they like to claim?

I agree with you. I'm a christian, but I really don't care what others believe, and the whole argument of who's right, and who's wrong is just stupid. No one is going to change others beliefs when it is something that is such a strong argument as religion.

Well, I could say If nothing atheists did affected my life or my society, then I wouldn't care what they believed, in lieu of what AiW said, but the truth is I DO care for them as fellow human beings, therefore I care where they will spend eternity. Besides, his statement seems a little ironic to me considering it is the rights of the religious people in America that are methodically being stripped away and atheists are the ones doing it. Why do they seem to think their rights are more important than ours?

They can't stand it that anyone can actually be happy in their own beliefs. To them it seems impossible for anyone to be truly, completely happy unless they believe in the same religion as they do.

I don't enjoy seeing any religion go at it. It really kinda makes me sick. I try to be cool when the Mormon's come around. I really would rather that they didn't ask me to pray with them. I hate to disappoint them and make them feel unwanted, but if I was to tell them about my beliefs, well lets just say that I don't think most anyone would talk with me in this community anymore.

We also have this church/cult/psychos here in town called the Potters House. WOW freaks! The guy told me I was going to Hell, but he thought my kids still had a chance of being saved. WTF? I just wanted him to go away and I thought if I told him I was Catholic he would just be all cool and move on. OH HELL NO. I'm going to hell!, and most likely my kids are going with me. Damn freaky *** cult is all I can say!

I have been just stewing about this crap for weeks now. Why can't I just believe WTH what I want to believe? Why can't my kids go to school and not be bombarded with freaky god pushing people?

I know this is all totally off subject. I'm just all pissed off about feeling like I'm doing something wrong in my life and my kids life by following the same path that my ancestors did.

because some athiests are just so friggin annoying and christians get fustrated by their ignorance, and so therefore there is a constant battle going on, which will never end I can tell you that now. And it's easy enough said saying that they should just get along but you just try putting into action, there is no way that is going to happen anytime soon if at all.

Why can't we just all get along.... Not! where is the fun in that? Merry Christmas I believe as an Atheist I enjoy Christmas even more than when I was a Christian. To all my Christian friends God bless kisses Betty.

It's about exclusivity. If you believe you are right to the exclusion of others, you somehow feel a need to make others believe your way.

As a Pagan myself, I don't have that need. There are many gods and many beliefs, and it's not my job to make others believe. I will teach those who ask, but they have to come to me; it's wrong to push your religion down another's throat.

yeah, you nailed it. A lot of these atheists are as annoying as the christians. The problem isn't what people believe, its fundamentalism. And fundamentalists are pretty similar even when they hold opposite beliefs. You belong to a religion known as "people who aren't stupid" as does about seventy percent of the population. Unfortunately the other thirty percent are often the loudest and most annoying.

couldn't care less how a person believes or doesn't believe. this is up to the individual as each has free will to follow their own ideas. as long as they do not infringe on another's free will and the laws rules and mores of their Country are adhered to, what difference should it make.

The Christmas season, with all of its junk means nothing to me as a christian, I celebrate the birth of Christ everyday.
And others have the choice to celebrate and believe what they choose.

Jesus said to go out and reach the LOST> I only talk of Jesus to non believers because i care and dont want them to go to hell. It would be awfull if i didnt share the joy that is found in Christ. My life is not all peachy king because im saved, and i still fall into sin.
