a girl (23-25 yrs. old) asking a guy (25 yrs. old) out through an online dating service? They talk once on the phone after chatting or emailing online for a week or so. She ask him out but then says she'll call back in a week or so after Thanksgiving to set it up and never does. Or, she goes out on the first date with him and says to him he should call her again and when he does, she doesn't respond. Isn't that wierd, rude and spiteful?

Yes it is rude, but I dont think its spiteful. She probably doesnt want to hurt your feelings. You would probably prefer it, if she just said, I dont think it is working out and leave it like that....at least you would know where you stand. Unfortunately not all people think like that and they take the easy way out, thinking that they this is the nicer way of telling you it has not worked out. It happens all the time....I did it when I was young....I dont think I was spiteful....I just didnt know what to say. I was young and inexperienced and didnt want to hurt their feelings. I definitely dont think its spiteful....rude, yes, but rudeness based on good intentions. Or you could look at this totally differently. Maybe she has been very busy and hasnt had the time to get back to you. Dont assume too much because maybe you could be wrong. Give her another call.....see how that goes. If you left a message, you dont even know whether she got it or not. Maybe someone else in the household got the message and forgot to pass it on to her. Just dont be too quick to judge over one phonecall that hasnt been returned...there could be numerous reasons why she hasnt called. Call her again, see if she responds. It wouldnt hurt.

Hey.................that's life.

you are getting to know people that you don't know. Her actions are letting you know what type of person she is. Now that you know what are you going to do? Continue calling her or move on?
