Don't put the tree up After years of trying I figured out that it is easier not to put it up than to keep putting it back up

I have dogs and what I did is build a 1 1/2 foot stand to keep it off the ground. I don't know how this will work with cats, but it can't hurt. The tree skirt works well with the stand too.

properly.........i understand our cat is in all hazard looking forward to mountain climbing the Christmas tree whilst she sees it positioned decrease back up this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and that's a typical cat for ya. besides, i've got observed the only thank you to maintain her off the tree is whilst it particularly is packed with gives you below it. in the previous we've squirted her with water, however the lighting fixtures furnishings have been unplugged at that element. different than that, make a valid or a be conscious which you will commonly use to coach your cat which you do no longer approve of what they are doing. HERE IS YOUR ANSWER TO KEEPING THE CATS AWAY FROM YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE. I KNOW THIS SOUNDS MEAN BUT IT WORKS I KNOW I HAVE A CAT MYSELF. GET YOUR SELF AN SPRAY BOTTLE FILL IT WITH WATER WHENEVER THEY GO NEAR THE TREE SPRAY THEM JUST A MIST OR 2 IS ALL IT WILL TAKE AFTER A WHILE THEY WILL REALIZE WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF THEY GO NEAR THE TREE. YOU DO KNOW OF COURSE THAT CATS WELL MOST OF THEM DO NOT LIKE WATER AT ALL. AND THEY WILL RUN BUT YOU NEED TO BE VERY CONSITIANT WITH SPRAYING THEM SOONER OR LATER THEY WILL GET THE MESSAGE

My cats are doing the same thing... what we do is just leave the tree up decorationless for a week and do the little squirt trick and then put decorations up once they realize its not a toy...

keep a spray bottle filled with water and if you see them on the tree or going near just spray them a little with it on stream and soon you can leave the bottle empty and just reach for it and they will run.
