I am a progressive liberal and I wanted to help the poor people that lost their homes in New Orleans due to George Bush's Hurricane. I invited several families to come stay with me in New York. My wife and kids weren't happy but I explained we have to do out part to save these nobel people. The families have drained me of all my money, they refuse to get a job, they live in filth, the men harrass my wife and daughters. They have lived with me for 2 and a half month and have cost me almost 100,000 dollars, which is pretty much all my savings. My wife is threatening to leave me and take my daughters away after one of the men tried to sexually assualt them. I don't know what to do. I can't turn these heroes away after what happened to them, but my life has been ruined!!

Better move or find a way to get them to leave. Say...it is time to go, I am broke...and then split with your family.
There is always a cause that is nobel but you can't fix the world and I bet you know it now. It is sad that you let them take you for all it is worth. That says something about how trusting you are.
Now cut your losses. You may be able to get them to leave...but if not, legally you may have to leave. So...pick up your roots and hold you head high. Put your family first....and run fast.
I don't know what you did, but there are kind suckers like you every where. Fess up to your family...and do what you need to do. You can get your life back together. You just were too nice...
They are not heroes. They are criminals. It may be tough...but you have to survive. Turn your face the other way...toward your family and provide for them. They need a father. Now be the man and get rid of the trash.
You owe it to them.

If you are so dumb to let complete strangers cost you $100,000 and live there for 2 1/2 months, you deserve to lose your wife and daughters. These people aren't heroes, they are bums.
Kick them out-----NOW.

It is one thing to give someone a helping hand but if they will not get a job to help better themselves and start harrassing your family then it is time to say enough is enough and kick their asses out.

i would kick them out. in the begining you were doing it out of the goodness of your heart but your family is falling apart. but i think your guests have over stayed their welcome.
