No, It takes about 5 mins. That gives them a chance to find out if you have money. If she was interested in a 2nd date she would at least take your number.

I typically won't accept a date unless I'm somewhat interested, but typically by the middle of date 1 (if not sooner) I know if I'm interested or actually desire a date 2.
Sometimes though, I just don't know for sure how I feel about someone at the end of date 1, so if he asks me on a date 2 I will accept to see if my feelings become more clear...typically date 2 is as far as it goes though, if there's no strong interest...
As for the phone number thing, typically a guy has my # prior to the first date, so the question doesn't really apply...if we're going to go out, he needs to be able to reach me (and vice versa) if plans have to change at the last minute, or one party is running late, etc...
Typically, I don't give my number if I'm not interested in a date at all...but otherwise he got it before date 1...

Well, some of them would. Some of them would exchange numbers then never call back or take the phone calls. Then, there are some that are looking for thier soul mate. Those types are not looking for the perfect looking man, but the perfect man for them. Hope that makes sense. Believe is or not, the less pretty or trashier women sometimes get stuck out the outward appearance

Not neccessarily. I didn't when I was dating. Looks are important, but not as important as what type of person he is. I met this older guy before, and I did not think much of his looks at first. He wasn't my type really. I try not to prejudge, however. As the night proceeded, I saw how mature and hot he actually was. All women are different of course. This is my experience of it. Personality, values, etc will always outweigh looks in importance for me. So, to answer the question...I give him a chance. I'm not so shallow as to dismiss him on looks. I might hesitate to give my phone number to him for different reasons, like if he seems creepy or something.

I think I can safely speak on behalf of most women when I say that no matter if the guy looks like Brad Pitt on sight, if nothing of substance comes out of his mouth, then there is no point in a second date.

yes i do think they make up there mind as soon as they see their date in person, and sometimes they would exchange phone numbers, even tho they don't want a second date, just to be polite

I myself want to see how the first date goes before determining if I want a second date.

Absolutely not. I wait to see if the guy's personality wins me over, like if he is funny, interesting, and treats me well. It takes me the whole night to figure out if there is an attraction there.

Well, a person who would make an instant decision based on looks isn't worth the time anyway.
