Probably not. You are not supposed to thaw and refreeze poultry. It would be better to spend another $5.00 than to make everyone sick.

No. Throw them away.
Unless they were not completely defrosted when you put them back, there has been plenty of time for bacteria to start growing.
They may not smell like they have gone bad, but trust me....they are already "on the turn."
If they were still at least halfway frozen when you put them back, they should be ok. Only you know how completely defrosted they were when you put them back.
I know it hurts to waste food and money by throwing away some chicken that looks and smells ok, but believe me, you do NOT want to deal with a case of stealth food poisoning.
Next time, cook them first. It is ok to freeze cooked meat that was frozen back when it was raw. The cooking killed all the original bacteria.

If the chicken didn't spend much time defrosted (and if it was in the fridge at the time) then it shouldn't spoil. Refreezing can degrade the texture of the meat. It might not taste as good or have the same mouth-feel as fresh or once-frozen meat. Be sure to cook it really well.

If the chicken is bad, you should know by the smell. Technically...NO, you are not supposed to thaw and then refreeze any poultry. BUT...as long as you cook it, and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches ATLEAST 165 degrees, then everything should be fine. If it tasted funny, throw it out. But atleast your likelihood of getting sick has been cut down to almost nothing.

I know it's not technically right, but my mom did it all the time when she'd change her mind about dinner. I'm still typing.

Yes, I have done it many times, I just make sure I rinse it well under cold water and dry it. Then use it like usual.
