Hi funny,
Let's not define God except as a creator. No religion.
Let's assume God does not affect cause and effect in the world. otherwise knowledge and science will be unknowable.
If you pray to win the lottery, then you might win, but God did not cause it, for He does not interfere. So you might say it, but, it was truly a coincidence.
The only place prayer works is if you pray for spiritual guidance, let's say for how to raise your children wisely, or how to respond to a situation at work, or to save a relationship, or how to be a NFL player, or how to gain internal peace.... That is it. If you listen to this guidance, and then do what you are spiritually led to do, you can say, your prayer was answered.
That is what the power of prayer is. Many religions say something else, but, that is their right.

Well, before my marriage I prayed for 10 years for some reason, I thought we'd be stress "free" by then and "coast" to the until death part.
I received 11 years and am now divorced, to the month. So I should have asked for 'life' and not a time table.
Not coincidence, in my opinion, as our first 7 years were in my navy time, and we were separated - but together, very stressful time. Over 50% Navy marriages end in divorce.
Of course I have no idea - but this is a real prayer I made.
What about the confirmed medical reports of miracles?
You can call them up on the Internet, and these are still not enough proof?
Prayer is not like enacting a human law in USA, but they are answered often. As GOD knows all of the humans on this planet, and the interwoven prayers and wishes, spells, I think more are answered than we will ever know as being human we could not understand all the ramifications to each answer or prayer/wish/spell,whatever.

I think hindsight shows a certain narrative of answered prayers and opportunities that reveals a directed plan. Many times the things I pray for don't come in the way I expected, but a different way that is even better. But I generally look at the larger picture, not immediate events.
I am suggesting that the believer can see the plot even when not knowing the script.

I have hade many prayers answered. For example my wife of 15 yrs died unexpectedly and I got really depressed. I went from 165lbs to 120 lbs. After 1 yr I could not take anymore of it and I prayed to Heavenly Father to remove this pain from me and he did. I know that it was not a coinencidence because I could really feel it with all my hearth. Somtime God does not answer prayers right away, he wants to see how you deal with the situation but he will not let you bear more than you can handle and that is a promise from him. Also when praying to Heavenly Father you should pray with a broken heart and a contrite spirit. Be very sincere and if the tears starts flowing let them flow.

Yes. More than once. I was cursed by drugs and alcohol and I tried everything without success. Someone said try prayer and I scoffed. But one desparate night about 12 years ago I tried it. Haven't had a desire for drugs or alcohol since. I am not saying I am right, just what I believe. People have laughed when I told them that but I don't care. If something helps me I will believe. Doesn't costs anything.

I have had prayers answered. There is no understanding it. Spirituality is beyond understanding. Try praying for something as if you already had it (imagine that you have it right now in your mind and then say "I release this prayer and know that it is accomplished.") You might be surprised at the results.

All prayers are answered. Sometimes God says yes, sometimes He says no, sometimes he says wait.
What would you do if one of your kids asked for a .38 so he could go shoot someone? Would you tell him no? If you did not give him the answer he wanted, would that mean you didn't answer him?
Also prayer is a whole lot more than going to God with a wish list, it is a conversation with our Heavenly Father. We talk and we listen also. God will reveal Himself to us through His word,His Holy Spirit, and through other people. We just need to be listening.

confident my mom. My mom had PKD(poly-cystic kidney ailment). She is likewise a uncommon blood variety so she exchange right into a no longer common adventure for a kidney, yet we in no way stopped praying. sooner or later we've been given call from Kaiser and that they suggested that a woman in Kentucky needed to furnish my mom her kidney. The medical doctors suggested that there exchange into no way she would be a adventure, yet whilst she flew in and have been given examined she exchange right into a adventure. It finally ends up that the lady went to my grandpa's church and she or he heard approximately it throughout the time of the prayer record.

*prays, flips coin*
... My prayers were answered!
*prayers, flips coin*
... D: Why hast thou forsaken me?
... I hope you see the point I'm trying to make. The only way to know that a prayer has been answered is if you prayed for something outside the realm of possibility to happen. If that impossible thing happens, your prayer was answered.
Clearly, this has never happened. There is no way to prove that a prayer was ever answered.

Yes I have had prayers answered.
I know it is not coincidence, because it has happened too many times.
If I opened my front door and met someone with my name. I would see that as coincidence.
But if it happened every time I open my front door, I would know there is more to it than chance.
