I am wrting a report on this subject and am having difficulty, need to know issues invloved, soil composition differences etc. What chance do the pine trees have in surviving? What is Orlando Florida Biome? And where can I find information on this subject?

This may depend upon the exact species of pine that you would transplant. The native (to Florida) Long-leaf pine does well (when not attacked by the pine beetle - See first two sites below --do a search on this for more into).

Recently a species from Australia was intoduced because of it's resistance to salt). This is an invasive species and may give you an idea of possible problems with other imports. See the site below.

You might want to contact the Morikami Gardens for possible species.

Check the Biome map for Orlando (last site).
