which came first: the chicken or the egg?
and also, if the chicken came first, do you think it crossed the road before or after laying another egg?

Chickens pre-date roads.
Thus we can assume that there were no roads to cross for the first chicken (which evolved from a slightly different species) hen it laid the first 'chicken' egg

on a side note why are there so many chicken road crossing jokes when I never see a chicken on the road...lol Oh I get it =)

Chicken came first because God created all living beings. I would say it layed it's egg after crossing the road so it would be near it and could protect it better.

THe egg came first because what we now days know as the chicken developed the reproduction through eggs long before it evolved into what we now know as a chicken.

The single-celled organism came first. And it evolved into the chicken. Crossing the road? Well, I don't think there were any roads then.

The chicken came first, but there wasn't any roads in Eden, so she laid the egg where she was.

Well.. even the Bible doesn't solve the problem..
Cause God created animals, yeah, and then they breeded..
But - before, He created the nature, so - the cells, etc. Egg is a kind of cell..;)
