well everytime i go to get a haircut, i try to get a cut with like...how do i explain it. you know, it's jaggedy at the ends and well, it's hard to explain but do you get what i mean? and when i tell this to the hairdressers, they dont understand for some reason. they think im talking about layers. is that a kind of layer? because i've seen other layers and they dont look anything like what i want them to. please help me. how do i explain to them what kind of hair i want. i know i can show them a picture. i try but i still need to explain.

It's called texturizing. Using a razor gets close but scissors are best. The rest is done with stiff wax or gel. Maybe your hair is layered enough to get the look. Try using a flat iron or blow with a large round brush, then wax it up and pull the ends spikey, like a water balloon hit you in the back of your head and left a little mohawk

Well, my school has quite a few punks! lol, but they mostly have a thing called a "swoop" where it covers your right eye. Some girls have hair up to their ears with a few layers parted on the side, partly covering an eye. I hope i helped, but thats as good as i can explain it! Sorry..
Ciao for now,
Tara

Bring a picture and describe it to the best of you ability. If your hair dresser gets it wrong, you just have to try a different hair dresser and do the same.
