forget the home remedy and take her to a dentist ASAP. That is the best advice you can get.

If the tooth hurts then she has an infection. Until she can get in to see a dentist there are a few things she can do to help relieve the pain. She can rinse her mouth with hydrogen peroxide (don't swallow). Swish the hydrogen peroxide in the mouth for a minute then spit out. I use this occasionally as a mouthwash and I've diluted it before with a little bit of water. If you do not have hydro peroxide then you can use mouthwash (the kind that has alcohol), or soak a cottonball with vinegar and then place it on the tooth and gently bite down on the cotton for a minute or two. Rinse vinegar out of mouth afterwards. DO NOT APPLY HEAT. Heat feels good, but will make the infection grow many x's worse and then the pain will be unbearable. Ibuprofen helps for the pain also.

If she has decay with pulpal exposure, oil of cloves can lend some temporary relief. If the infection is contained this method won't work. Ibuprofen and an emergency call to the dentist is in order, either way. A toothache can be dangerous, due to growing infection...so don't delay.

Has she tried oragel? it works great so does an icepack on the cheek. watch out for hot or cold liquids as they may send her over the edge. Is she going to the dentist soon? I hope so :)

A piece of ice. Hold the ice right on the tooth. Also try Ibuprofen
for the pain and swelling. Good luck.

Maybe try to put a cold pack on it to ease the pain? Try doctor though as soon as you can.
