This is more of a comment than a question. Today I didnt feel like cooking much so for dinner I made grilled cheese sandwiches in the toaster oven and hot tea. So delicious and quick. I was just wondering if anyone else out there made anything simple for dinner or are their any suggestions

Super easy to pick up piece of fish on the way home and bake it--fits in the toaster oven so you don't even have to wait for the big oven, and virtually no prep or even cleanup--just toss the foil you lined the tray with.

This may sound crazy but it is very good:

Take a boneless thin sliced porkchop season with salt & pepper and fry it in a pan instead of oil use a little water (just enough to cover the bottom of the pan) .

Boil two eggs and some angel hair pasta. And slice up some green onion

When the porkchop is brown on both sides, it is finished add about 2 cups of boiling water some soy sauce and worstershire sauce, Salt & Pepper to the pot or pan.

Slice the porkchop into thin strips and add it to the liquid. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Peel your eggs and slice it into thin slices.

Place your angelhair, eggs, & green onion into a bowl then add some slices of porkchop and enough juice to cover the pasta. Add as much soy sauce and pepper as you like.

We call this YAKA_MEIN (meat) in NEW ORLEANS

Some people use thinly sliced beef instead of the porkchops. But I think that the pork has more flavor.

The whole process only takes about 10-15 minutes.

Sometimes we all just need a simple and satifying dinner. Mine is similar to yours. Bread and cheese, with a glass of wine. It always does the trick.

I like to make scrambled or fried eggs for dinner sometimes. It gives me a change of pace and they have protein to fill me up.
