What is committment in a relationship? How do we show it? What does our bf/gf/spouse do that shows they are committed?
I am asking b/c I have been going through all this crap w/ the gf, like it seems like we love each other very much, still very attracted to each other, but she can't get over ...Something! and commit. So I have been asking myself what a "committment" from her would look like, if you follow. Just wanted to see what you had to say.

If someone is romantically committed to you, that means they are not open or desiring romantic/sexual attention from others. Committment is when it's all about that one person...no dating others, no having sex with others, no carrying a torch for others, no emotional baggage from past relationships like fear of committing or fear of getting hurt...
You cannot commit without trust...so that's where it starts...you trust one another to be faithful and you trust one another not to intentionally hurt you...you don't punish your present interest for the 'sins' of a past partner...and you don't get involved with someone new, if you haven't let go of someone old...

To me being committed means that you are only with that one person you are dating. I think the only way to show committment is by being faithful to your partner.

one of you isn't sure about it! try talking about it to make up her mind. Commitment is when you both decide to keep the relationship growing with a goal to get settled down with a family to love & keep for a lifetime.not just now but forever!

if she is respectful, loyal, and honest to you and your relationship with her then i think that she is committed!
