Life is a school. Problem is that we don't know immediately what we have to learn. Usually people start to understand this at the end of life. Most of the people things that they are special and they have special mission in this world but no. Every soul has different goal and some of them are very simple. Some of us has to spent whole life just to learn how to stop to lie, others to discover how love is important in our lifes, somebody is here just to entertain us, etc. Of course there is common goal for all of us, to prolong life, to make descendents.But you don't have to worry, when you find job that you love to work, when you find person that you love to stay with you will understand. That is revelation and you will know meaning of your life.

Very simple.
The purpose of life I imagine you mean by this question?
No purpose.
The purpose is what you make it.
You have attributes & abilities and you use those to bring joy & fullness to your life & possibly others.
That's it.

Somebody's mom bakes cakes & lemon meringue pies for her family.
A videogame company out of Kyoto, Japan created something called Wii.
A kid in Kentucky knows how to roll his tongue into shapes.
Someone in Florida makes little castles & buildings out of sand.
Somebody in Nevada is one heckuva masseuse.
Seek pleasure that doesn't come from another's detriment.
Whatever that is or may be.
That's the key to happiness.

I am not sure where you are coming from, so I will speak straight to the point.
It is the pursuit of a relationship with Almighty God. God is all powerful, all knowing, all loving and wants to have a relationship with you. How would you like to have a friend like that?
