Not great ... but what can you expect for 1/2 to 1/3 the price of a "real" projector. For about $250 you get a projector (not very bright, low resolution) capable of up to 60" image in a dark room, with a built in DVD player and speakers (although external 2.1 amplified (computer) speakers would be recommended.

You can't directly connect S-video since there isn't an S-video input. You may be able to buy (or there are instructions at the second link for making) a S-video to composite adapter.
