does high definition videogames ruin high def tvs?

Not anymore. There were issues with playing games on old rear projection televisions. I believe it was due to potential burn in issues.

These days all HDTV's are optimal for video gaming. I have a 50" plasma and it works great with Xbox.

There's no evidence about this.
I think this is just to scared kid from playing video games
