We usually have decaf soda but either way my son doesn't get more than a sip or two. I'm also glad to hear I don't have the only coffee lover! A little occassional chocolate too. Healthy habits are wonderful but complete denial never teaches them how to choose on their own.

No! He drinks water & milk only..I don't even give him any kind of chocolate!!
My little guy is 22 months old and I keep lots of fruit around. He loves to snack on raisins!
I am sure he'll want the sweet stuff, and will get it on occasion someday but I figure he doesn't know what he's missing and is happy with what I give him! I hope that I am starting him with some healthy habits.

I know I should be answering this with a H3LL NO!!! BUT.... I am not perfect and I do let my 17 month old daughter have some of my Pepsi from time to time. With my 2 oldest children I let them have it all the time. Well $5600 later... dental work... we don't give her as much. But yes she does get some. Plus chocolate has caffeine in it. Good luck keeping it from the children. They see us have it and want some too.

I don't let my 21 month old son have caffeine on a regular basis, nor do I allow other family members to give him any. I have allowed a drink or two of coffee or my coke, but I limit his intake to only a drink or two remind you.
BUT, my Mother on the other hand learned the hard way Thanksgiving night!!! She let him have several drinks of her coke, thinking it was cute I guess that he was drinking from a "big cup". The outcome, after about 2hrs of him jumping around all over her bed with her lying down, it make her sick!!
In return, I told her "go ahead, give him some more to drink"!!!

I have given my son caffeine a few times, when he was real little he was hyper and the doc wanted to put him on drugs, I would not, I did use black coffee and watched what foods he ate. It does work.
And of course like anything else, good when used in moderation.

No. The closest thing I ever gave my daughter was chocolate ice cream once and awhile, there's no need to start them on a habbit like that just yet. By the time they're 10 or so they will have picked up soda or something on their own.

Ergh, no. The little monkeys are hard enough to handle as it is. My family does not allow children any sort of soft drink or caffeinated drink until they're teenagers.

Sounds nice to me. Like our pediatrician mentioned, apart from particular issues that she would have the capacity to choke on and any hypersensitive reactions, whilst they hit 12 months, they have the eco-friendly mild to consume regardless of Mommy and Daddy consume. My concerns may be on sugar and caffeine, yet whilst it has neither, then it sounds nice to me. inspite of the undeniable fact that, you have it down as 'tea'....does this mean it rather is like Crystal mild? if so, then i might stay away from it for the synthetic sweeteners.

Nope. too much sugar for the blood and the teeth! Stay far away until they are old enough to take proper care of their teeth on their own.
