I would agree that you should see your doctor. In the mean time put an ice pack with cloth over it on the area for 20 minutes several timea a day. Ice will take swelling away, and help the pain until you can get an appointment.

You probably slept on it wrong and strained it. Give it rest and it should get better. However, I would just go to the doctor to make sure it's not anything more serious. I figure if you've got medical insurance, you might as well use it. Then again, I'm always looking for an excuse to skip work.

I seriously doubt it's kidney stones. If you had that you would be begging to be taken to the emergency room.

A very hot bath might give some immediate relief, but I certainly do suggest you see your doctor and get checked for kidney stones just to be safe.

One word of caution.
Back pain can be a symptom of kidney problem.
You should check with a doctor.

Tell your parents - a heating pad and motrin will probably take care of it.
