Generally the pediatrician will tell you to start it at 1 year. But if the baby has not had any issues with reactions to new foods 11 months should be fine. I started my youngest son on milk at around 10 1/2 months. He's 8 now and very healthy.
One recommendation is to use whole milk because it is more nutritious for babies as opposed to 2%- they can use the extra fat for a while!

Around 11 months I started weening my kids off formula and onto whole milk. I started with 1/3 milk the rest formula for a week to see if there was any reactions, then I would move to half milk and half formula for another week. Finally around week 3 I gave 1/3 formula the rest milk. By 12 months of age they were on whole milk with no problems!

You should ween your baby to regular milk at about 11 1/2 months. If he/she still drinks formula, you start by slowly mixing the regular milk in. At first he/she is not going to like it, but after a couple of days (depending on your baby) increase the ration of formula to milk and then give him/her a 4 oz bottle of regular milk. This should tell you if you weened them correctly and at a good pace.

It is perfectly okay. You should start giving him the regular milk at this age so he can get use to the taste. Besides it's only one month, I did it with my son. but make sure you give him the milk in a sippy cup and not the bottle.

Not really. Regular milk does not have the vitamins and supplements that formula has and the baby's system cannot break down the regular milk as effectively. One year old is usually the proper age to wean your child from formula to regular milk.

Of course, first make sure you ween the baby to make it easier for the baby to digest. Start with a 2oz milk 6 oz formula then when the baby seems to take to it, mix 4 oz with 4 oz, then 6 oz milk and 2 oz formula and then completely milk. Just a suggestion. It would make it easier for baby to get used to.

Baylie's Dr. said it was ok for her to have milk at 10 months. Because she wouldn't drink formula. She still nursed from time to time but wasn't enough that she was getting the nutrients that she needed. Her Dr. said to just give her a littlle bit at a time. If she got a rash or anything seemed top change then to stop and come back to see him. She was fine and has been drinking milk since then.

I would say yes. Usually one year it the best time to start them on vit d milk. When my nephew was nine months the doctor told them it was ok to start him on milk and he is fine (now almost 13 months). He's had no problems.

you may desire to communicate on your pediatrician formerly later - do not look ahead to your next appointment. there is not any reason they does not take a telephone call or a minimum of time table an appointment faster so as that her weight could be checked, and the different assessment that the known practitioner could choose to do. i does not start up her on cow's milk till given an ok with the aid of a doctor, on the grounds it somewhat is tougher for a toddler to digest and would not have the iron she desires.

Well they say to wait til they are 12 months, but one month won't make a big difference. Just transition slowly, and use whole milk. I heated it up for awhile with my daughter, and then used a NUBY cup from Walmart or Target, and it worked out very well.
Good luck!
