Record yourself singing, play it back, if it sounds good then you shouldn't have a problem. If you're all freaked out on stage you're not gonna sound good! Be confident if you really sound good, if you sound bad on the recording then you shouldn't preform at all!

Its natural to get nervous. I dont sing but I'm a drummer. I've been nervous a few times. Getting nervous can affect ur vocals.. U just need to get over ur nervousness. Take a nerve pill... Or, drink a Red Bull.. I'm serious, Red Bull helps.

Focus your mind on how the song makes you feel and sing your heart out. You're focusing on the crowd and worrying about how they feel about you, while you just have to remember, you can have control over how they feel with an outstanding performance.

you could try first just casually singing in front of a few people youre comfortable. then, when youre comfortable, you could hold a mini-concert for a few friends and family you feel comfortable singing for, and that you know will enjoy the performance. gradually increase your audience to include friends of friends, neighbors, and even people you dont know. then you can move on to performing for large groups of people... sign up for a talent show, or an open mic night =)

Sing in front of people every chance you get. Your friends, family, nursing homes, any audience you can find. Your confidence will grow and your nerves will calm.

the older trick in the book for being nervous in front of ANY audience is to slowly walk out on stage and while you do that look out over the audience and imagine them all naked if it doesn't make you sick or cause you to break out laughing it will work everytime good luck go get'em

When I'm in that position, I always try to remember that I'm there because I love what I'm doing...NOT for anyone else. Sing for you!
