here are some things to try and do.
1. stop coloring and chemically harming your hair ( perms and straightners)
2. Don't use your blow dryer or curling iron for awhile, let your hair heal for a bit. towel or air dry your hair. Blow drying and curling takes the moisture out of your hair due to the heat.
3. Change shampoos, try something for dry and damaged hair on the bottle ( such as Tres Eme, Suave, Dove, Herbal Essences etc.)
4. Try some leave in hair conditioners, you can find them in the hair products aisle.. there are a hundred different kinds you can choose from, just pick one that will suit your needs for your hair.
5. consult your hair dresser

There are some good shampoo from aveda for damaged and dry hair, it's called Damage Remedy. You could look at those. Or you could do some deep treatment at home once per week and let the hair mask sit for a longer time (say a few hours), it helps!
For some better commercial hair masks, you can check some of the ones I believe to be better here: http://beauty-tricks.com/index.php?option=com_facileforms&Itemid=&ff_name=ReviewList&ff_param_section=3&ff_param_cat=7&ff_param_limit=10&ff_param_order=SubmissionDateNew

Use shampoos and conditioners that smooth hair, like Matrix Sleek Look or Garnier Fructis Shine and Sleek. These do a great job in reviving your hair. Also, purchase a serum called Kerastase Oleo-Relax. A couple of drops of this when your hair is damp and a couple more when your hair is dry will keep your hair away from damage.

well..if yur hair is dry and damaged..i suggest yuh stop using heat products such as straighteners....and blow dryers..i mean yuh could use them like w.e. ..but just be careful that every time it touches yur hair...it justs damages it even more...and also..get a really good shampoo and conditioner..i recommend Biosilk..its a bit priceyy but yoo..its worth it it works wonders....i had dry and damaged hair before..right now its still damaged a bit and still a bit dry.but its getting better everyday cause i use straightening and blow drying less and i also trimm my hair to take away split ends...if its thick thin it..and deep condition it once in a while..that'll really helpp..and yeahh..so basically..just stop using chemicals yuh usually might use...or don't stop..cause that'll be too hard..just cut them down a bit...use smooth serums yuh can find at like walmart zellers and all that...like those sprays and gel kinda things that help it moisturize and also help stop damage for too much to happen..so yeahh..hope this helpss...

Stop doing the things that make it damage, like straighting and blowdrying. And for the dryness, use V05 Hot Oil Treatment to make it smooth.
