It took me a long time to shake of the mind control mechanisms of religion. If God exists, and is truth, its not in his interest to diter you from reading the theories of atheists or studying evolution, but of course, its most certainly against the interests of religion for any research to happen outside the hand holding of the religious leaders.

Dont get me wrong, I grew up in a Catholic school system where I was exposed to evolution and theories that rebut religion...out of fear of censorship, I am not directly referring to the eastern religion which closes off all reason and thought and threatens the very lives of those who consider anything but their horrific religion.

Whether there is or isn't a god, the fact is you ARE allowed to search for the truth, and so those who object on religious grounds would not be speaking for whatever god may actually exist.

Which is precisely why some people prefer to be called agnostics, because their objections are to the religious depictions of a god, and the rules that supposedly come from that source, rather than to the existence of some supreme force or being per se.

Most important, in my view, is to object to depictions of a creator god, as again this implies rules exist in nature that are inconsistent with science as we know it. Mythology is one thing, but a belief that regards that mythology as true because one wants it to be true is not consistent with the type of search for the truth that you are advocating by this question.

You are absolutely right. A search for truth is a search for God and God would not be worried in the slightest if you searched through all religions in your search for Him. It is in fact religion that has an issues with this because religion is human and as humans we hate to be wrong or not as good as another. So as humans in a religion we don't want you to look at others because you may choose another. God on the other hand ......well.....why should he be worried? And if you are really searching for the truth....you will find it. That doesn't mean you will except it.....but you will find it.

God doesn't fear Atheist or their religion of Evolution.

Keep studying the "truths" that are coming out of the scientific studies about the formation of the earth. Recent studies keep finding the lack of truth in all the theories of evolution.

It is just another religion where people BELEIVE in an accidental earth and people. After all these years, they still cannot prove anything because it is not true. All they can do is use propaganda to fool people.

If life came about ACCIDENTLY, why can't we create it on PURPOSE with all of our scientific expertise?

Yes!!!!! I was telling my husband the other night about some thoughts I had on evolution and how I have kept an open mind to these things. He asked me that wasn't it wrong for me as a Christian to keep an open mind about these things and to question God, I told him that I believe that God wants use to seek, knock then find. It starts with seeking. Consider all claims and the truth will hold forth.

2 Timothy 2:15 (King James Version) 15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Yes! I try to answer all questions with scripture. If it is not doing anything else it is helping me more and more to understand how to use it and to set standards in my own life to live and follow His commands to the best of my abilities. If somehow my answers opens someones heart to The Lord Christ Jesus then "Glory to God!"

God is the Absoloute truth in the true scientific definition. Absoloute truth meaning something which is true at all times, places and circumstances. Everything we are dealing with in terms of mundane research and theory is relative study, because its all based on relative experiences, ie true at a certain time in a certain place, we can't actually draw any Absoloute truths through inductive knowledge so approaching God through perceptive research is fruitless. Ive been there man. I rejected religion, tried understanding everything through research, and then found Srimad Bhagavatam, check it out, Its on a next level, no faith required but this book is hugh, 30 books to be precise. check the link if you interested.

My answer is a series of questions that each person must answer by himself.

Isnt god supposed to be LOVE?
So, looking for the truth one would find love.

Isnt the spirit, or call it "energy" within each one of us ?

There is a kind of sinergy ,when you do good things ,the rest of the world vibrates at a correct frequency!

Beleif will multiply your forces ...so isnt god within you?

Is truth a complete rejection of all negatives ?

With due respect to you ,are you sure your brain has the capability to seize the totality of reality or truth ?
And then if any human could comprehend the total truth could we deal with it?

Well, yeah. That's where theistic evolution comes in.

Have you heard of the stupid american?
It makes sense in this case, as only 20% of the world's population is stupid enough to believe in creation, but 75% of that are Americans.

Several of the above answers are exactly the type who you speak of: "Don't ask any questions, just read your holy book and bury your herad in the sand. Learning is evil!"

That static mentality is what kept the Dark Ages lasting so long.

In an ideal world it would be. but now every body is claiming the truth even devil worshippers. So if you search for truth in your way it might lead you to a completely different conclusion.
I think sometimes to perform an experiment in science there are formulas to be followed. Different formulas give you different results.
God can not be proved by science but by faith and that is the key to finding him, and its so simple that people think it is foolish thats why most people dont believe he exists.
