I live in Texas and this weekend my purse was stolen that had my driver's license in it. Can the person who stole it use it against me? and how do I go about getting a new one? And do I need to get one quick?

This is identity theft and should be reported. It is quite serious. Your identification may fall into the wrong hands on the wrong side of the law.

First, call the credit card companies and contact the Motor Vehicle branch. Also, call your bank and change the numbers and the cards. Check with all insurance companies. Have a fraud alert put on your cell phone subscription and at credit bureaus.

The police are only so helpful. Even with eyewitness accounts and fingerprints, they usually aren't even interested in helping you out. I know this from experience. Ask about going to Vital Statistics to reestablish your identity. I suggest getting a non-driver's license i.d. and a passport. Keep both at home in case you need them for emergency situations. My wife had this happen to her once. I have contacted the radio station and all the places I went to about that situation. Even running an ad in the paper is helpful.

Report it stolen, then with a copy of the police report go to the Texas DMV and apply for a new license. If you had any credit cards in your purse remember to cancel them.

Go to your local Dept Of Motor Vehicles and explain this to them. They can issue you a temporary license until a new one comes in. You should also cancel all credit cards and bank accounts if that info was also in your purse. Notify and credit card companies if unauthorized charges have been made to you CC accounts.

Go to the motor vehicle department and apply for a new one. Sooner rather than later especially if you can get a ticket for driving without a license in your possession. :o)

it easily relies upon on the country or state. In British English, they are putting forward "using licence". contained in the U. S., we in many situations say "driver's license", in spite of the indisputable fact that the reliable version in some states is "driver license". in simple terms seem at the front of your license and observe what it says. it rather is the reliable version on your state.

report it stolen to the police, then go to the dmv and get another one. They might require that you bring the police report with you, but you should call them and make sure.
