Do you not make the choice to come to this section? Do you not choose to click on the link, read, and answer the question? Please explain how we are "forcing it down your throats" when you make the choice to participate or not.

If you are talking about the world in general, you should at least specify that.

Also, Moira, I have taken your advice and changed my terminology. Your point is valid.

I chose the term "non-Christians" because I was attacked by an atheist for the term "non-believers". From now on I'll use the term "those who don't have a spirituality or faith". While I don't understand how atheist can have any form of spiritualism, I'm not going to dimiss it out-of-hand.

This is Religion and Spirituality. If you have no religion you have no business being here. That means no atheists unless you are finally willing to declare Athiesm a religion!

Any time a Christian shares their faith to those who do no longer have confidence a similar factor they are frequently accused of shoving their faith down others throats. What i stumble on exciting is that in case you verify out questions concerning here in keeping with that definition of shoving a faith down somebody's throat, all are to blame no rely what you think. Atheists are merely as undesirable as they cutting-edge their understanding as being certainty and all Christians are brainwased, susceptible human beings desiring the cruch of religion. Now i understand there are some at here who will declare they do no longer do this, yet that isn't a private assertion this would be a wide-unfold all encompassing assertion, and if man or woman Christians can no longer get away such generalizations then neither can man or woman atheists. i'm going to confess that I even have seen Christians or those with faith at here being merely as rude as atheists have been so by remark i'm thinking the potential to stick on your faith and be crass approximately it is not desperate by your perception or lack their of.

I come here to comment on questions. I never claim anyone is forcing their religion on me here. This is a place to come and talk about religion and spirituality and that covers a lot more territory than Christianity.

I was a Christian 25 years and was in one church or another for 48 years.

I studied the bible over 30. I share my knowledge and experience.

I do not like Christians forcing their brand of Christianity on me and everyone else in the work place, schools, and heck, I even have to deal with pushy Christians at biker rallies walking up to my campsite uninvited and trying to share " Jesus " with me. Biker rallies are wild and freaky and a lot of nudity and drinking and revelry and even though I do not partake in a lot of those activities, i do watch the crowd as they pass by and I do not like these people forcing their belief on me every where I go.

Here I am free to confront people like this and have my say. I am able to expose hypocrisy and the hatefulness of Christians who do not practice what they preach.

The problem I have here, is I make a lot of people mad and my computer is attacked with viruses and attempts to hack into my system . I know when I really make people mad when my fire wall is busy while in this section.

Yes we make the choice to participate in the Religious section. I have a feeling though that you may not be one of the Fanatics that are "forcing their beleifs on others"
You seem level headed and rational.
I for one am a non- Christian and I come to this section occasionally just to see what other people are feeling and thinking.
I feel very comfortable in saying that I never once heard a non-Christian shove their beleives on another here on Y!A
where as I do see alot of judgmental, selfish, sometimes cruel and often Fanatic Christian postings.
I've seen non-Christians defending their belief, and correcting misconceptions. Take care...

I am a non Christian.
I have posted questions and instantly i have been told (which shocked me greatly ) that i was a Satan worshipper and i should leave the board.

I have also seen other times answering questions on the merit of Religion.. not Christianity.. but Religion. you know there are many other religions here.. that do post.
That people have commented on other posts again pulling down a religion and belief.

Told if i do not follow there one and only god i will be doomed to hell.. You know that's throwing it down someones throat.
Follow or your a Satan worshipper or your going to hell.

I think its rude, without respect for others.

I would understand if this section was a Christian only section..
But its not..

I feel i have as much right to express my views and beliefs.
Although now.. I feel i stand up stronger because of the rude small minded behaviour of some people here.
This doesn't mean i don't respect Christianity..
I just seem to realise more that, they can be very dangerous not only to there Religion but to people in general that mean no harm.

Not all of them. I think some Christians do try to force it when they post what looks like a question but when you click you end up reading bible verses and a message that tells people to come to Jesus or burn in hell. Or when they answer questions with scripture and tell others their way is the only way. Or when they thumbs down any non-Christian answer or a question that is about a belief other than Christianity or a question that questions Christianity. That's not all the Christians here though. Even so - it does happen frequently.

Those who feel as if they are having christianity shoved down their throats are just using another excuse to fight the truth they are hearing on this forum. No one can hide from God's truth. They can deny it all they want, but it is still there and it will always be God's truth that can transform them into a wonderful productive person if they would leave their loyality towards satan behind them and follow Jesus.

Anyone on these boards can force their point of view down anyone elses throat on this board. There is a lot of forcing going on on all sides.

This isn't the "Christian" section, so people who don't believe in Christ and the Christian God shouldn't be expected to come in here prepared to "keep quiet" about anything said about Christianity.

If Christians are being pushy, they're being pushy. It's not their right to act as though this is "their" area or that they're the "top dogs" here. EVERYONE comes here expecting respect and civility. If Christians are being excessively forceful, THEY are the ones who are out of line.

Actually, for good reason! ...since --in all honesty-- THERE ARE THOSE who call themselves "Christians" and WHO DO ram their personal beliefs [incessantly using Biblical texts TO THE EXTREME at that!] down the throats of ALL OTHERS who do not belong to their specific group or happen to share their own church's doctrines!

And IT REALLY IS ANNOYING... even to other folks who are also believers. It definitely gives a bad aftertaste, you know.

Peace be with you.
