You didn't say who THEY are. THEY are responsible for so darn many things. THEY said, THEY believe.
You can take any statement and THEY can prove it to be correct or incorrect.
I have no idea if anyone really thinks the pope is a God, but with a population of six billion I'm sure there are some kooks who think so.

Your question is vague. No Pope has ever declared himself to be God, unless you read it on one of those hate sites where they twist and distort Church documents and outdated encyclopedias.
It would have helped to find a source if you would have named the Pope.

I am a Catholic and I would like to know who THEY are and you had better provide some kind of documentation because this is just slandering a very Holy sweet man who did more suffering for people than people will ever know.
