Pick one where you can flourish in. Pray about it and allow God to show you where He can use your talents and gifts the best.

I attend a nondenominational/pentecostal. I love the people there and don't find them pushy, but friendly. I've been inactive in churches for years. I talked to people about their churches and their experiences and did some research. I also prayed about it. I let God take control. Attend a church that teaches Gods words entirely. Go to a church that makes you feel welcomed and that you feel comfortable in. Don't jump into anything your not ready for. When i found the right church for me i got this warmth over me and joy. Good luck and God Bless!

Go to a chapel in Round Top, New York. There is a convent, St Joseph's Novitiate, The Daughters of Mary. On the grounds is a chapel open to the public that offers the true church of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. If you attend this mass, I guarantee you will search no more.

It is most important for you to connect to God personally and find out what he wants for you. Since you are going to get many suggestions here, likely you will continue to be confused.

I would invite you to begin reading the bible, the New Testament might be the easiest place to start to strengthen your spiritual foundation. Also, personal prayer is our tool for communication with God. If you don't feel comfortable, just address him and speak with him, telling him of your desires to find His church. I am confident that you will find what you seek. It may not happen instantly, but you will find it. After all, the command to "ask and ye shall receive" is repeated numerous times in the scriptures.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If you would like to visit our church, you can find a chapel near you at this link:

If you would like to meet with some missionaries, click this link and request a visit:

Whatever you decide, follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost and you should be alright.

If you have any questions, contact me. God bless.

There are many different types of pentecostal services. some have pretty strict dress codes, some have "unwritten but you'll get the cold stare" dress codes, some don't care.

There is nothing wrong with visiting several churches and deciding what you feel comfortable with. God's people are very diverse in their manner of dress, worship, service order ,etc. - and God loves diversity. What is right for one person just isn't right for a different person and that is ok.

God bless!!

Try out a few places and see if you feel at home there. Only you can decide which church you want to belong to. So pray and ask God for direction and try out a few. When you get to the right one you will know.

Find a church which teachs God's Word.

Not a church where you hear a couple of verses a week. At that rate it would take 300 years to cover the Bible.

Stay away from the fanatics. That would be the Pentecostals. Good luck on finding a Christian church that makes sense. Most Christians are actually worshiping Paul. He is responsible for the hate and bigotry in the bible. He invented the fictitious place called hell.

I attend a nondenominational church but it leans a little toward pentecostal. I wore jeans today.

What kind of Pentecostal church does your son go to? In Assemblies of God, there is no formal dress code.
